GET ORGANIZED
Make the Most of Your Visit
Facing a world of choices can be daunting but don’t worry. Here are some easy steps that will help you get organized.
Designing with light is an exciting, yet complex, project. And walking into our showroom with hundreds of items on
display from dozens of manufacturers can be overwhelming. We’ve compiled three points to consider when selecting the correct light and determining lighting layout. Writing down your design ideas and bringing in finish and color samples will help you find the perfect light.
1You will need room measurements including ceiling heights, plus door and window locations. If your plan is for a kitchen or
bath, creating a cabinet layout is beneficial. If you are replacing outdoor lights, know the location
of the electrical box and the space around it. Use dimensions relative to the center of the box, top and bottom, left and right. This way, you can get the correctly sized fixture for the space.
2Lighting makes a space function better. Knowing how and who is using the space is an important part of getting the best
lighting layout.
3When remodeling, it’s smart to make sure there is enough power going to the locations where the fixtures will be used.
TIP: It is a good idea to bring pictures of your space. The extra time spent planning in the beginning assures that you can get the most out of the space you are in.
